  • AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF WEST 77-½ STREET

    The City of Richfield does ordain:

    Section 1. The following described land has been dedicated to the public for right of way purposes:

    That part of West 77-½ Street as dedicated in the plat of STRAND'S SECOND ADDITION TO RICHFIELD, according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 5, Block 1 of said Strand's Second Addition to Richfield, thence easterly, along the south line of said Lot 5, a distance of 75.65 feet to an angle point in said south line of Lot 5, thence northeasterly, along said south line of Lot 1, a distance of 62.72 feet to the east line of said Lot 5, thence southerly, along the southerly extension of said east line of Lot 5, a distance of 59.71 feet to the north line of the south 30.00 feet of said West 77-½; Street; thence westerly, along said north line of the south 30.00 feet of West 77-½; Street, a distance of 130.87 feet to the southerly extension of the east line of Lot 6, said Block 1; thence northerly, along said southerly extension of the east line of Lot 6, a distance of 30.00 feet to the point of beginning.

    Section 2. The fee owner of abutting land, the City or Richfield, has petitioned for the vacation of that part of West 77-½ Street as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.

    Section 3. The Council finds that there is no longer a public need for a street easement over that portion of West 77-½ Street as described in Section 1.

    Section 4. The street easement over that portion of 77-½ Street, as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, is hereby vacated.
