§ 2. Approval; effective date.

2.01.

The Richfield Lake Project is approved, and design, construction and construction management of the Richfield Lake Project may proceed according to the procedures required by law.

2.02.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to comply with the requirements of Section 8.04 of the Richfield City Charter. This Ordinance shall not be construed to require that the City proceed with the Richfield Lake Project; nor does it vest any rights in the Richfield Lake Project to any individual or entity. This Ordinance shall not be construed to pre-approve any contracts for the design or construction of the Richfield Lake Project, and the City Council specifically reserves to itself the authority to approve any such contracts. The City Council reserves the right to abandon the Richfield Lake Project or to modify elements of the Richfield Lake Project, if the Council deems abandonment or modification to be in the public interest.

2.03.

This Ordinance is effective 30 days following its publication.
