§ 1170.07. Investigation and inspection.

Each application shall be referred to the Director of Public Safety for investigation of the applicant and any vehicle to be operated in his taxicab or auto livery business. The Director of Public Safety shall determine the operating condition of any such vehicle and make a report to the council based on his findings. The council may grant licenses applicable only to those vehicles described in the application and approved in the report of the Director of Public Safety.
