Subd. 2. Other permits. If any other type of permit is required for a building or structure besides a building permit, such as, for example, an off-street parking permit or a special use permit, the building permit may not be issued until the Building Official is satisfied that other required permits:

Have already been issued;
(ii)
Will be issued at the same time; or
(iii)
Have been authorized and will be issued.
Subd. 3. Plans and specifications: retention. When a building permit is issued, the Building Official shall return one (1) set of the plans and specifications to the applicant and one (1) copy shall be kept in the office of the Building Official as designated in the current records retention schedule.
Subd. 4. Duration of permit. In addition to the expiration provisions of Minnesota Rules 1300.0120, subpart 11, every permit issued under this Section with a permit fee of $3,000.00 or less will expire and become void one (1) year after the date it is issued. In order to renew action on a permit after expiration, the permit holder must pay a new full permit fee. (Amended Bill No. 2007-15)
